I read something in my quiet time that was a balm to my heart. As I came to the end of my New Testament reading, I came to John 8:26, which reads in part, “… He… is reliable….”
Wow. I don’t know about you but I needed the reminder this morning.
He. Is. Reliable.
This God who created the Universe is reliable.
This God who parted the Red Sea and led the children of Israel out of captivity is reliable.
This God who spoke through the prophets is reliable.
This God who sent His son to live as fully God and fully man is reliable.
This God who worked countless miracles during three years on earth is reliable.
This God who died a cruel and painful death is reliable.
This God who conquered the grave and rose from the dead is reliable.
Family member struggling with hidden disabilities? He is reliable.
Seeking a diagnosis and in the midst of countless questions? He is reliable.
Have just received a diagnosis and grieving the loss of “normal”? He is reliable.
Have lived with this for some time and wonder how you can go on? He is reliable.
Have a child transitioning from services and unsure of the future? He is reliable.
Can’t see your way through the dark? He is reliable.
More bills to pay than money to pay them? He is reliable.
Marriage strained by the challenges your family is facing? He is reliable.
No matter where you are today, no matter what you are addressing, we need to remember: He Is Reliable.
I am so comforted and encouraged with the reminder.
Our God. He is reliable.
Journeying with you,
Shannon
