Do you have anyone in your life that tells you daily you are loved?
Do you have anyone in your life that shows you that you are loved?
Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord appeared to us in the past saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with lovingkindness.”
Are you a person who can tell the ones you love daily that you love them?
or
Are you a person that wasn’t brought up that way and hardly says that to the ones you love?
Sometimes as parents of kids with unique needs we are so busy going to doctor’s appointments, working on behaviors with our kids, juggling our roles as moms and dads and all the other responsibilities we have that sometimes we don’t take time to reach out and accept love or feel love from others.
I wasn’t brought up in a family that shares freely that they loved one another. My husband however was brought up the opposite. They say it all the time. We grew up very different. He would think why do they never say it and I would think they say it too much, not sure if it is genuine. After being married over 24 years now, we both work on telling one another and our kids that we love each other. It is so important to feel loved by your family and just as important for them to feel your love.
The one person that is always there for us is Christ. He loves us all the time, no matter what we do. He wants us to come to Him and He wants us to feel his never-ending love. One of the ways you feel love from others is by spending time with them daily. When you spend time in prayer or studying God’s Word that is another way you can feel loved. By learning more about Christ and His love for us, you are then able to share with others Christ’s perfect love and experience His love personally.
Here is a song by Heather Williams. I hope you will listen and feel His love.
