5 Ways to Get It All Done

May 14, 2018 by autismblessings

Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him,     for God is our refuge. Psalm 62:8 I wake up every Monday morning a little anxious. It starts really on Sunday evenings. Do you ever feel that … [Read more...]

Prayer Power

December 14, 2016 by Kathleen Bolduc 9 Comments

Ask, and it will be given to you seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7 There are so many Scriptures on prayer power. The Scripture above just happens to be one of my favorites. I don’t know about you, but I pray and pray and pray for my son, Joel, who has autism. Many times I do not see specific answers to those prayers. And yet, the Scriptures … [Read more...]

Change is rarely comfortable. Jesse’s original diagnoses include PDD-NOS, ODD, OCD, and ADHD. Some of those acronyms will change as he grows. Some – if God sees fit – might disappear. New ones could be added. … [Read more...]

Not surprisingly, the traditional Holy Door is in St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, but on December 8, 2015, Pope Francis announced the Jubilee Year of Mercy and designated 8 Holy Doors around the world. The only … [Read more...]

Back to School, Back to Uncertainty

August 15, 2016 by Barbara Dittrich 2 Comments

Is your shopping done yet?  Have you nailed the best deals on all of the supplies on your child’s class list? Is the smell of new athletic shoes and fresh clothing purchases permeating your house yet? While it all sounds so hopeful, if you’re house is anything like ours, there’s a slow, sickening churning of the stomach beginning.  Back to school feels as uncertain it does exciting, especially … [Read more...]
